I'm Brittany...

I'm so glad to see you. Let me tell you a little about what brought me here. Art, in many forms, has always been my escape- my happy place. There's something about the story that a photograph tells, a moment forever paused in time. In my family, photographs were always treasured, proudly displayed in albums and crowded frame walls. I remember sifting through the wooden box of photos at my Granny's house, over and over again. Each time, a new story, or maybe an old familiar one. My Mom, always toting her large camera bag to every school performance and every Easter Sunday fashion faux paux. Photos were always something that brought us together, that made us laugh and remember.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I learned that a photo could be much more than a family snapshot. I like to think my work is a marriage of the two- a little bit family snapshot and a little bit artistic expression.
